Wildlife We've Photographed Along Our Adventure : Being able to photograph wildlife was one of the main reasons we embarked on this journey. Cindy and I have always been into animals, whether they be domesticated or wild.

To be able to spend serious time in the wild and see soo many different species of animals in their natural surroundings was a dream come true for both of us.

Along the adventure, we got to see some amazing sights, so we thought we'd group all the animal shots in one gallery. Like the Flowers and Plant Life gallery, this one will continue to grow as the adventure goes on.

Use it as your one stop shop for that wild animal fix. If you know of a place that is known for great sightings of any type of animal, feel free to shoot us an email to tell us about it and we'll see if we cant put it into our sights for future destinations.

Global Wildlife Center - Folsom Louisiana 2009 : The Global Wildlife Center in Folsom Louisiana is a 900 acre preserve dedicated to create a perfect place in which threatened and endangered wildlife, from around the world, live and flourish in a free-roaming natural environment. For photographers like Cindy and I it is a dream come true.

I would say hands down it is the best bang for the buck to photograph exotic and endangered African or Asian wildlife in the United States. If you're going to photograph the animals, spend the extra money to get a private Pinzgauer tour like we did. It's so worth it!

Detroit Zoo - Michigan : The Detroit Zoo in the winter is a great time to visit. No lines, active animals and you basically have the whole place to yourself.

When the Detroit Zoological Park opened on August 1st, 1928; it was unique and progressive in its design. The Detroit Zoological Society commissioned Boston landscape architect Arthur Shurtleff to draw the plans for the park.

Shurtleff did so according to the practices of landscape designer Carl Hagenback of Hamburg, Germany, who promoted the construction of zoo exhibits without bars.

Rather than being caged, the animals roamed freely in outdoor habitats bounded by moats and "Rocks" made of reinforced concrete. Carl's son Heinrich came here to supervise and build the exhibits.

The Detroit Zoological Park is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a must see if visiting the Michigan area.

If you were to purchase any of these images, the watermark will not be on the final print, and 100% of the procedes will be donated to the Detroit Zoological Society to help keep the park running and in tip top shape.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed what you saw. I know we enjoyed taking the images and would encourage anyone and everyone who lives within driving distance to visit the Detroit Zoo

Out of Africa - Sedona Arizona : Lions, Tigers, Giraffe, Rhinoceros, Black Bear, Camel, Ostrich, Cobras, Zebra, Exotic Birds, Tortoise, Wildebeest, Jaguar, Leopards, Wolves, Hyenas and maybe a few more animals was what we found when we visited this outdoor wild life park just outside Sedona Arizona.

Great spot to see plenty of big cats, and if you stay during feeding time, you'll get to see some of the wildest carnivores on Earth!

Great place for the kids!

Cincinnatti Zoo - Ohio : The Cincinnatti Zoo is the place to go if you're into photographing wildlife. They are world renouned for their endangered animals they have rescued here.

Cindy and I spent over 8 full hours wandering around the huge zoo, and never even saw all of it. It was like a African safari, only without the thousands of dollars spent on airfare. I'd recommend this zoo to anyone and everyone!

If you were to purchase any of these images, the watermark will not be on the final print, and 100% of the procedes will be donated to the Cincinnatti Zoological Society to help keep the park running and in tip top shape

Oswalds Bear Ranch - Northern Michigan : This complex is the Largest (bear only) Bear Ranch in the entire United States! Found only in the Wild Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Rescued cubs are brought here every year and they are always a joy to see! The day we visited, the had two baby brown cubs that you see really enjoyed Cindy's arm! Actually they just suckle on the arm, and wouldnt bite at this young age, although one did take a swat at my camera when I got too close...LOL

Oswalds Bear Ranch is located just 20 minutes south of Tahquamenon Falls. So if visiting the Newberry area of the Eastern Upper Peninsula, make sure to stop by for a look.

Blue Birds : These BLue Birds have kept me busy for a few afternoons.

They have a nest near the Old faithful General Store in Yellowstone and I've sat out there watching them for hours on end.

They're almost impossible to shoot in flight because of how fast they are, or maybe because how slow I am...LOL

They feed their babies almost non-stop and are a pleasure to watch.

If you were to purchase any of these images, the watermark will not be on the print
