Abalone Fishing, Baja California Sur, MexicoAbalone is a mollusk, related to a sea snail, similar in flavor to a clam, but much larger! We had never heard of these specimens before visiting Bahia Ascuncion, but this small fishing village just south of Guerrero Negro relies on the Abalone for their living.
